Since April 2000, the Mac Mavericks have been helping Mac users in the Dubuque, Iowa area by providing information about the Macintosh, its operating system, software, hardware and vendors.

We currently have a meeting on the second Saturday of each month, except where noted in the "Upcoming Meeting Schedule" by the "**" next to the date.

The June 20 meeting was cancelled. It will be held next week at the same time and place. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

OUR NEXT MEETING - Saturday, July 11 at the Finley Hospital Auditorium. Steve will demonstrate home wireless networks.

The user group is selling our collection of MacAcademy training CD-ROMs in a slient auction. See a list of CDs here. Bids will be taken and the auction closes at the meeting on July 11.

Our Meetings:
There are three parts to our monthly meetings: A business portion consisting of old business, new business and announcements. Here we impart the latest news from Apple about new products and services. A question and answer portion follows where members bring their computer questions. The software demonstration is the third part of the meeting. There may be hands-on practice of the software being demonstrated.

You Should Join a Users Group:
The online community is a great resource. This vast community can also be intimidating sometimes. As one of our members stated, “One needs to already know the answer to find the answer.” Our user group fills a need for those of us who are unwilling to invest the time in deciphering the assistance rendered by the online community. Wouldn’t it be great to belong to a group of people who share a similar interest in learning about their Macintosh computer? User group members and officers help out each other at meetings and outside of meetings. Click here to join our group.
