Tech Tip Apple released Safari 5 on June 7, the latest version of the world’s fastest and most innovative web browser. This release features the new Safari Reader for reading articles on the web without distraction, a 30-percent performance increase over Safari 4, and the ability to choose Google, Yahoo!, or Bing as the search service powering Safari’s search field. Available for both Mac and Windows, Safari 5 includes improved developer tools and supports more than a dozen new HTML5 technologies that allow web developers to create rich, dynamic websites. Feature Article Apple recently updates some features in their MobileMe subscription service. MobileMe gives you an easy way to keep your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and PC in sync. The Me.com webmail application has been improved to resemble an email application on your computer. My favorite feature is the new Find my iPhone app that helps you locate tour missing iPhone or iPad. MobileMe sells for $99 per year, but there is a 60 day free trial. When you buy a new Mac, Apple drops the price by $30 for the first year. MobileMe is a good deal all around. MobileMe will be the user group demonstration topic in November. Latest Apple News Apple announced that iPad sales have topped two million in less than 60 days since its launch on April 3. “Customers around the world are experiencing the magic of iPad, and seem to be loving it as much as we do,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “We appreciate their patience, and are working hard to build enough iPads for everyone.” Quotation Lo!
